Okay those of you who know me! I'm a slacker when it comes to doing this sort of thing, maintaining my site. There is more to come, and I'll let you know when. (Which reminds me- I have to put my new email on here). I got to thinking this week, wouldn't be great to have photos of friends and places that have been important over all these years. So that's what I'm aiming to do next. Build a montage of my life from go to... hm, well from go. And if you have a photo or two you would like me to share on this site, go ahead. The only condition is that I've got to know you. The pics can have a theme of Karate or friendships. Growing up is a good theme too, and that's where I will start.

If there's something I know about, it's photography. (Got me, and karate). I have done everything I could to clean up these pictures and get them looking simply spiffy. Looks good from where I'm sitting tonight! Tip for photographers, get yourold shots looking crisp again with a good imaging program like DuraPhotoShop. It works well.

Without further ado--

So, here's me. Part one begins now!

The photo above is me, aged 2. This is taken before Christmas 1977.

Me, Autumn time 1981. Age 6. Forget where this is at. But I fell over walking back to the car :(

1981. Me and cousins. I'm age 6, Matthew age 9, and Brett 10.

I'm age 7. This is a park, duh, 1982.

A cold cold day at Wades Creek, near Armidale. I'm 7yrs, it's 1982.

Gunnedah Pony Club. I'm 9yrs old. Not bad for my first time on a horse!

Dreamworld was a cool place once. I'm almost 10 in this one and Sandie is only-Sandie-knows. 1985. You can see the sleeveless top influence from Karate Kid. I saw that movie the year this was taken.

1987 and its horrible fashion. I'm 12.

I think I'm 9 or about to turn 9 here. This was in the winter holidays, and it's probably Grundy's, but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure those green things aren't growing out of my head, because I don't have them now.

Me, at age 14. 1989. If I know your question, then the answer is "probably."

1990. NKOTB and 90210 were big. I'm 15 and this is my sweet li'l cousin who lives in Armidale. They're not bruises on Charelle's arm. They are stamps.

I thought this was hilarious. It's been artificially aged. Supposed to have been, but it just looks weird.

Mitchell now. 2008. Most loving friend ever, mentor, and Karate associate extraordianire. Lifetimes won't separate us. For all the *Australians* (Orr-stray-yans) who don't know this- that's called a bandanna. Cool people wear them. Something most of you will never have to worry about being.

Mitchell and his sister, 1992. An awkward moment? We are left to wonder.

Guess who this is for a thousand dollars. Hint: we used to live in the same house, and she's not live-in help. The year is 1988 and she's 17. Disclaimer: the term "a thousand dollars" may not refer to actual money.

This is a rare photo, as much as Yamashita photos are in the same way scarce.

Isn't this funny? No. Not really. I didn't think so.

Joanne. Friend and very dangerous adversary. Don't let the look fool you.

Kathryn. Likes to take care of me.

Jenny. A good friend. About to go ballistic. Eventually she does.

1991. 16 yrs old. I was the Winner of the Women's NKDA Kumite. Mrs. Yamashita hands me flowers. That expression means I was in pain. I was trying hard not to show it.

Yamashita Shihan in 1994. This is an extremely rare photograph of the man who shunned all publicity.

Dangar Park in Autumn. Armidale NSW. Pretty? Yep. It's pretty dangerous. Dangar is the local way of writing danger. Something you're in when you want to walk through here. 8 things happened to different people in this park while I lived down there. My street was about 10 minutes away. But, yippee, I got the colours right in this one.

Wollombi, an hour's drive along a bad road from Armidale. Not much to see here- this is supposed to be a gorge. Uhem. Much too cyan this picky, but I was in a cyan frame of mind.

Oh yeah....Armidale's famous mall. Just ask Mitchell about the singing mountains. This picky is too dark, but it was raining every day since I got there in 1994, and I had no flash this day. Not that it would have done a thing.

Wollombi gorge. Tiny waterfall if you can make it out. Honestly, waste your time not- go to Tamworth instead! ;-) Hey, Mitchy?

Sunset comes over Armidale. Another night of sharp cold and morning of frost ten feet deep coming up. The sun is spooky. So is Armidale.

My former house in Armidale. Dad still lives there. Where it was always raining, and the people had nothing to say to you, even if they knew you. I kid thou not.

Raining, raining and then raining some more, so I thought I'd make a rainbow. The back porch was the last resort for hanging out delicates to dry. Armidale sucks it big time.

Victoria Point is a much more friendly and clement place to live. I love this house! I love the shrine entry way. This house and I get on much better. Lots of Magnolias. Smilies all round.

Yamashita with sai many years ago. I'm not sure when this was done. Maybe 1987. This is in the Hombu in Osaka. Hombu means a main dojo.
